VirMax Natural Male Enhancement supplement that claims to naturally improve sexual performance over an 8 hour period. Here’s our VirMax review.
VirMax Natural Male Enhancement is a daily supplement that promises to provide powerful benefits for your sexual health.
The formula is described as “clinically developed and patented”. Typically, nutritional supplement manufacturers don’t receive patents for their formulas – so that’s surprising.
Today, VirMax is sold online at around $50 per package. You can also find it at Walgreens, where it’s priced as little as $15 to $20. Keep reading to see if VirMax is worth the price.
VirMax uses a blend of ingredients that may boost your virility while also widening your blood vessels. That means you have higher sexual drive – and it’s easier to get an erection.
The formula contains ingredients that are similar to other male sexual health supplements – like horny goat weed, saw palmetto, and L-arginine – but it also contains ingredients that aren’t familiar to most people – like the Chinese herb Cnidium monnieri.
Let’s take a closer look at each one of these ingredients:
Horny goat weed is one of the most popular ingredients found in male sexual health supplements. Despite its name, horny goat weed has been linked to few tangible benefits.
There’s some small evidence it can improve sexual drive and raise blood flow, but its overall evidence is limited.
L-Arginine is an amino acid used in VirMax to widen your blood vessels, making it easier for you to get an erection. It’s also used by bodybuilders before a workout, because widening your blood vessels means better vascularity in pump.
Typically, it’s used in dosages of 2,000 to 4,000mg (much higher than the dose used in VirMax).
The makers of VirMax claim that L-glutamic acid is a neurotransmitter that “helps to increase sensation during a sexual encounter”. They don’t cite any studies to reinforce this effect. Typically, L-glutamic acid is used in cognitive health supplements to improve focus.
L-Lysine, according to the makers of VirMax, “increases the effectiveness of L-arginine because it slows down the transition of L-arginine from the vascular system back into the muscle cells”. That means you can achieve an erection for a longer period of time.
L-alanine prevents the prostate gland from becoming enlarged. An enlarged prostate is one of the leading causes of erectile dysfunction.
Also known as Asian ginseng, this root plays a key role in libido enhancement while also increasing sexual function. Typically, we see it in cognitive health supplements – although it sometimes appears in male sexual health supplements as well.
Ginkgo Biloba is another ingredient that can be found in both cognitive health supplements as well as male sexual health supplements.
Remember up above when I said VirMax has unique ingredients not found in other formulas? Angelica pubescens is one of those ingredients.
Used in ancient China and Japan, this plant promises to increase circulation, improve sex drive, and prevent premature ejaculation.
Supporters of the plant frequently cite this study from 1995 which showed Angelica pubescents had significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
Cnidium monnieri is a Chinese herb “used for centuries to promote a healthy reproductive system”, explains the official VirMax website. The herb claims to support healthy energy and stamina levels.
Examine.com describes it as “a pro-erectile herb from traditional Chinese medicine” that “appear[s] to have mechanisms similar to Viagra in penile tissue and the hippocampus”.
Saw palmetto is another herb that’s particularly common in male sexual health supplements. The herb may treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, leading to increased sexual health function.
Ultimately, the ingredients in VirMax are surprisingly good: they’re backed by science to improve sexual performance and enhance blood flow.
The makers of VirMax don’t make any ridiculous claims about “skyrocketing your testosterone” or enhancing your sexual health in other ways.
They appear to have used ingredients – many of which are herbs from ancient Chinese medicine – that genuinely boost your performance in bed.
Other Ingredients (Inactive): Dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, silica and film coating.
VirMax specifically claims to last for 8 hours with no side effects. Based on the ingredients listed, it’s hard to see any evidence that VirMax will work as advertised at this low dosage. Doubling the dosage and taking two pills per day, however, would be a good place to start.
VirMax is available online through VirMaxInfo.com, but it’s available at a much cheaper price at your neighborhood Walgreens. Here’s how pricing breaks down:
1 Package (30 Capsules / 30 Servings)
Walgreens will ship it to your address. You get free shipping over $35, but you can ship it to stores for free. Meanwhile, in Walgreens retail outlets, you should find VirMax near the condoms and other sexual health supplements.
The company behind VirMax, Natural Products Solutions, also sells its supplements at Rite Aid, GNC, and convenience stores – so you might be able to find VirMax sold at these locations.
VirMax is made by a company named Natural Products Solutions, LLC. They’re a natural supplement manufacturer based in Timonium, Maryland. The company was founded in 2006 by President and CEO Marty Gallant.
Today, the company’s products are sold at Walgreens, Rite Aid, GNC, and convenience stores across the United States, Canada, Israel, and Europe.
VirMax is a sexual health supplement marketed towards men who want longer, harder erections and better overall sexual performance. The supplement contains ingredients that have been shown to improve blood flow and enhance your sex drive.
Unfortunately, few of those ingredients are used at a sufficient dose. The company also isn’t fully transparent about dosing information upfront: the label is filled with proprietary formulas that makes it difficult to determine the truth behind the supplement.
Ultimately, VirMax doesn’t appear to be a bad supplement – especially since it’s available for under $15 from Walgreens. However, you may have to double or triple the dose to feel any active effects.
